| Anapolis
is an old ranching trade center that became important
with the construction of Goiania
and Brasilia. Situated between the two Capitals, and
linked by major highways to Belem in the north and Sao
Paulo to the south, Anapolis became the major industrial
center of the central-west. With about 300,000 inhabitants
Anapolis has environmental problems from the pollution
of its rivers including the Antas that joins the Rio
Corumba. Anapolis is located near the Ecological
Park Ulysses Guimaraes and the protected historical
towns of Pirenopolis
and Corumba de
Goias.
