This ARIE (Area of Relevant Ecological Interest) is a preserve in a borough of Goias Velho (called Sao Joao) with natural mineral springs. ARIES are defined by law in a National System of Units of Preservation (SNUC) and can be the responsibility of federal, state or municipal governments. They protect fragile Eco-systems with Federal laws.
