This is the falls nearest the city of Chapada, part of a long chain of smaller waterfalls and pools with dramatic rock formations similar to those at Valley of the Moon, which is possibly the most beautiful landscape in Lencois.

It is possible to drive to the upper part of Lencois, park at the Portal Hotel and then walk down a trail some meters to the Lencois River where you will find some nice cascades. A bit higher up is another attraction, the Cachoeirinha, where you can take a swim.
