This waterfall is located on the Brumado River near the colonial city of Livramento (Bahia) and close to the Contas River and Chapada Diamantina. When traveling on the “green road” toward the BR (see map) one has an outstanding view on the right, of the falls cascading down the rocks. These clear waters are unlike most of the areas copper colored streams. Environmentalists have noted that the village downstream is polluting the stream.
