Rivers, lakes, springs

Cumbuca RioRivers, lakes, springs and waterfalls - water is actually the rule in Chapada Diamantina. A lot of water, coming down the highlands... Most of it with the typical copper-like color which still is sort of a mystery (some researchers say it's caused by a certain kind of plant on the water springs and alongside the courses). On the right, detail of Cumbuca river, where diamonds where first found by miners long time ago at Mucugê area, now protected as an ecological park (Parque Sempre-Viva). Take a look at pictures, texts and maps.
