It's
a calcareous rock cave in Iraquara
municipality, Bahia State, Brazil. This one if formed
by the same underground waters emerging at Pratinha´s
cave. Entering the cave's mouth, sun rays hit the
interior lake, creating a gorgeous visual spectacle,
with blue tones being given by the minerals present
in the water, mainly magnesium. You have to take a
guide and pay a R$ 5 fee to enter the area. The Pratinha
Farm (Fazenda Pratinha) runs both caves. It´s
located 9km (in a non-paved road) away from highway
BA-432. You can contact people in charge at telephone
and fax number +(75) 229-4115, talk to Raimundo or
Junior Solon. You can write them using postal code
CEP 46.980-000 Brazil. There are lunch facilities
as well as renting of diving equipment (only for the
outside lake, since it´s prohibited to swim
in the interior one).
